CMS ANNOUNCES XE-FILTER v1.10 COUNTRY-CENTRIC eMAIL FILTER

New Whitelist and Blacklist Features Enhance the Already Powerful eMail Filter

The XE-Filter v1.10 release features IP Address Whitelists and Blacklists that expand an administrator’s control over email operations.

With the Whitelist, email can be received from banned countries by designating an IP address or range of addresses. Similarly using the blacklist feature, email from known spammers can be blocked from countries in the allowed country list.

Companies See 1600% to 4000% Increase in Spam eMail Volume

Senior support technicians at Computer Mail Services, Inc. (CMS) have recently been following a rise in a certain type of spam email attack called Reverse NDR (RNDR).

Using analytical features found in XE-Filter, CMS studies show that simply by blocking email from the top 10 spamming countries 50% to 80% of all spam email can be eliminated.

Companies know their client and supplier bases and often for the small and medium sized business this is not multi-national.

Blocking email from the top spamming countries will not impede business operations in any way. In fact efficiencies will be improved.

STUDY SHOWS eMAIL FILTERING BY "COUNTRY OF ORIGIN HIGHLY EFFECTIVE

Computer Mail Services, Inc., recently completed a poll of their customers to determine the effectiveness of filtering email by its country of origin.

Results showed that blocking email by country of origin instantly eliminates 40% to 90% of all unwanted email traffic before it ever reaches a company’s local email server.
