SOUTHFIELD, MI — APRIL 27, 2006
— Computer Mail Services, Inc. (CMS), a leading email security and management software provider, today
announced the availability of XE-Filter, the first country-centric add-on filter against
spam. Simple in concept, cost-effective and requiring very little administrative effort, XE-Filter
is designed for businesses whose trading partners are limited to certain countries. It answers the
question “why receive email from foreign locations where you have no business dealings?”
XE-Filter installs on the Microsoft Exchange 2000/2003 server or any PC with Microsoft’s Internet Information
Services (IIS), and is compatible with existing anti-spam filters. Using the connecting IP address of
the mail server attempting to send the message, it determines the originating country and checks against an
administrator-specified banned list. If the email originates from a banned country, XE-Filter refuses
the message. The administration program statistics page shows how many messages were allowed and refused.

XE-Filter is available now with prices starting at US$195 per for 25 users or less, $395 for 100 users or less,
and $795 for unlimited users. Additional copies for use at the same site are $195. These prices
include the monthly updates to the country IP database for the first year. A 21-day evaluation version
