Spim, Spam, Splog
Researching again, I’ve come across article after article with news about Cell Phone Spam, Instant Messaging Spam (spim) and even Spam Blogs (splog) but I noticed a certain lack of interest in good old email spam.So I got to thinking for reason why this would be.
First, are email filters are too good and so are not profitable to spammers?
No. The amazing rise in spam floating around the net shoots this reason right out of the blogosphere. While traditional email filters are good, spammers still increasingly use email to target potential customers. My company, CMS, just released info detailing a 230% rise in RNDR spam. Other similar notes about the increase in spam traffic are really easy to find on the net. Spammers are still bombarding inboxes with Canadian drugs and stock tips.
Maybe... Talking about email filters is just one step above discussions about “Watching Paint Dry”
Bingo. This is the reason for the lack of press. Traditional email filters are boring. Give the press the flash of Blackberries under attack, cell phone disruptions and rogue bloggers stalking the unsuspected.
Companies, like Computer Mail Services, that deal in boring but essential email filter solutions just don’t grab the eye of editors today. You need your email filter and armies of developers are working to keep up with newer and newer spammer tricks but to rearrange the old news adage, “If it doesn’t bleed, it doesn’t lead”.
So finally before I go out and watch my bumpers rust, note that CMS has initiated a 50% online price discount for Praetor. This is a great deal for a superb product that has been protecting inboxes since 1999. Check it out.
